acolyte

Being an acolyte is a ministry open to everyone ages 10 through adult. Acolytes
light the candles and lead the ministers to and from the altar, carrying the cross. It
may also involve assisting the deacon as s/he sets the altar and removing the
vessels when communion is finished.
